My newly adopted poodle is a runner! If she's not clipped to her line before a door is opened, she's out & on the run - next to impossible to slow her down for recapture! My 1st solution was to search for a gate for 2 porches that would slow her down. My criteria: metal, narrow spaces between rails, high enough to prevent jumping over & gone, easy to manage. This gate met all the criteria with attractive as an added bonus. I can open the door & let her fly out as far as the gate. Even though she's narrow, she can't fit through, nor can she jump over.
I chose not to fully install the gates with the provided hardware. With the exception of using just one wall mounted hinge, I chose to use zip ties to connect the gate to the porch railing - working out perfectly.

Working in my garage with my dogs running in / out of the back door to the fenced yard, I have to keep the big garage door closed, making it pretty hot in the summer. This free standing gate solved my problem. It is just a bit short of the width of the garage door opening, but long enough I can tuck it behind the door rails, and even if the dogs push on it, it remains stable & standing. We can now let air in, but no dogs out. It has a gate that is easy to unlatch/latch so we can go through if we need to as well. I don't plan to permanently mount it, but it comes with hardware to do so. Also, just a point - after you attach the support feet (so it stands), it is no longer able to fold flat. Not a problem for me, but some people might need to be aware of it. It is fairly decent weight, and so far, holding up for my uses!

We took in a rescue dog in January of this year and he is awesome, but unfortunately we cannot let him come upstairs because that is where all the bedrooms are. He will try to chew up, destroy, or play with anything like clothing, shoes, toys, etc.- basically anything left on the floor he can get to. We also don't want him up in the bedrooms climbing up on the beds. So we let him stay on the first floor of the house which has worked out great for us. We have tried several different dog gates on the stairs and finally found one that seemed to work well. It was wooden and we could just sit it at the bottom of the stairs and he would not try to come upstairs. Unfortunately for us, this dog is a genius, lol. He figured out how to nudge the gate open far enough to have room to squeeze through. He knew he wasn't supposed to be upstairs so he pretended he didn't know how to get upstairs until my sister left and was gone for a few days (she was usually downstairs in her office with him all day so he wasn't alone and had no reason to go upstairs). Then he saw his chance and started going up the stairs to get to the rest of the family who was still in bed. Now he thinks he can just nudge the wooden gate open and go upstairs whenever he wants.

So we needed to get a new gate that was heavier and more sturdy. We also can't use anything that is supposed to be attached to a wall because we've tried those and they easily just shift and move and mess up the paint on the wall. This has been the perfect solution for us. It's heavy enough that our dog can't easily just push it open like he could with the wooden gate. It also doesn't have to be installed on the stairs like others we have seen. This has basically solved every problem we have had with dog gates in the past. I am so thankful I came across it and got the opportunity to order it. I highly recommend it to anyone needing a gate that will keep their dog away from stairs. 5 stars!

This is an extremely versatile, well-built gate segment that can be used almost any way you please. I have seen dog fences over the years and have always passed on them because they were just not a good fit for the architecture of my space. My dog has full freedom in this home and can roam wherever she pleases, although she has been trained to stay out of the working areas of the kitchen and knows better than to sit on the couches. She is a well trained dog. The only reason I need one of these gates, then, is that when service people, repair persons and other guests I have over don't have the same affinity for pets that I do, I have to place my dog behind closed doors to be respectful of those guests and their needs. This is the perfect gate for my purposes! It hinges in any direction and with four sides, it stays upright in almost any configuration it is placed. It comes with the tooling needed to secure the gate panels to either the floor or the wall, if desired. But I prefer it as a freestanding gate abutting to an entranceway and a half-wall and also extending into the foyer. This is so much better than having my dog behind the door. Here, she is part of the scene and everyone Cincluding my dear doggie Cfeels respected. Thanks for this great lifestyle enhancement.

I love this pet fence! It is an instant set up out of the box if it is not permanently mounted. This is a very strong, stable durable heavy-duty fence. I love that I can easily move the pet fence to different locations in my yard. Due to the weight and stability of the fence it stands securely without a need to anchor it. It has a gate with a high-quality latch that makes it easy to put my dog into the enclosure and take him out. I will be using this as a portable fence so that I can have my dog where I am working in the yard. I will also be using it on my patio. I have a gate on my patio that my dog can walk right through between the wrungs. When I am on the patio, I can set this up as a barrier, so my dog is secure on the patio. This fence is extremely versatile and can be used in the house to separate access to rooms, or to separate a pet when they are newly adopted. I asked my Shih Tzu Toby, if he liked his new bad boy box. lol The photos show he doesn't have a clue what a bad boy box is as he is my little angel. He didn't mind the enclosure at all and neither did the cat when they enjoyed play time together in the pet fence as my video shows. The fence can be used as well for crate training to house break a dog. It is so nicely portable it can be easily brought along to an outdoor event, park, visiting friends etc. It comes with high quality sturdy hardware to provide the option to mount it permanently.

Good gate. Does what i need it to. Flimsier tban what i was thinking it would be but still works.

I used it at the end of my back porch to keep my grandchildren safe from the pool and they can still play on the back porch without supervision.

This product is sturdy. I bought it to keep my dog from going upstairs. Perfect!!!

This has been excellent for our dogs! We didn't bolt to wall, and it still stands up just fine.

The height is great gor my dogs PLUS the gate is wide enough you can walk through comfortably. That is the best part. The only downfall is I think the gate latch could have been made better. Other than that it works great for me!

It's great. Definitely tall and sturdy.

Only thing is it's noisy. Lots of metal noises.

The gate segments are well constructed, and the height is good for a medium size dog. The latch is totally inadequate. To ensure the gate remains closed, I tie is shut with a cord.

Planned to use it as a stand-alone gate and was surprised when I took it out of the package and didn't need to do anything to it! No assembly required for a zig zag stand up gate!

Easy up easy to store works great unless you have a 3 lb puppy then you have to reinforce it because they'll just go right through the bars other than that it works really nice especially for the older dogs it's easy to walk through and it's easy to move out of the way when guest is here and we want them to be able to get back in the hallway for the restroom
